Haha, yes, that is very very true, and trust me if you like dude on dude you’re all set here, though there are a few other things tossed in there from time to time.

(Although to be honest, it does/doesn’t help that from what I’ve found the straight and lesbian porn blogs are pretty repetitive and lack a lot of variety so even if you did like the other stuff, I’ve found it fairly boring to find.)

Pretty sure Benedict doesn’t live in a vacuum, I’m sure he knows who Kahn was and knew when he read his part in the script he knew he was playing a non-white character. What Abrams did was shitty but there’s literally no way Benedict would have been completely unaware of what was going on, so what he did was pretty shitty too.

I’m willing to concede your point, but at least as far as I know, he knew absolutely NOTHING about the character traits of the role.

Saying yes to a role and signing a contract are two different stages, it would be pretty extraordinary circumstances for him to sign without actually knowing the name of the person he was playing. And there’s plenty of ways for an actor to back out of a role without his name being ‘mud’, it happens literally all the time (people are still going to hire Jude Law even with this Jane’s Got a Gun business. Hell people are still going to hire Lynn Ramsey.) Especially if he backed out because he wanted to be respectful and didn’t want to play a POC character. Also, my exposure to Star Trek has been pop culture and the one movie, and I know who Kahn is and that he’s not white, Benedict’s a grown adult, I just don’t see him being that oblivious. He saw this job would give him a lot of money and a lot of clout, it’s a decent reason for doing a job, but the whitewashing isn’t just on Abrams’ head.

If anyone keeps talking about Bennybums or Hiddleston being Bond I’m setting you all on fire.
